Description
Whenever a new Codex Thread is created, it automatically sends a request to GitHub to check for updates to codex-acp.
However, if I’m using a public VPN that shared an IP Address with thousands of people, the shared IP triggers GitHub’s API rate limit. This causes the update check to fail and makes Codex completely unusable.
So:
1. Could we provide a setting to disable automatic update checks?
2. If possible, could codex-acp use the token from the GitHub account already logged in within Zed when calling the GitHub API?
