  • Before adding new features and new modules, please go to issues to submit the relevant feature description first.
  • Write good commit messages and use the same coding conventions as the rest of the project.
  • Please commit code to dev branch and we will merge into master branch in feature
  • Ensure your edited codes with four spaces instead of TAB.

Summary of Changes

Hello @Arthapz, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request enhances Xmake's debugging capabilities by introducing support for the nnd debugger. It includes a new module to detect the nnd executable and integrates its execution into the existing debugger framework, providing Linux users with an additional tool for their debugging workflows.

Highlights

  • New Debugger Detection Module: Added a new Lua module (find_nnd.lua) dedicated to detecting the nnd debugger executable and its version.
  • NND Debugger Integration: Implemented a new function (_run_nnd) within the debugger runner to facilitate launching programs using the nnd debugger.
  • Platform-Specific Availability: Integrated nnd into the list of available debuggers, making it an option specifically for Linux-based systems.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request adds support for the nnd debugger. A new find_nnd.lua script is introduced to locate the nnd executable, and run.lua is updated to integrate nnd into the debugger execution flow, specifically for Linux environments. The changes are logical and follow existing patterns in the codebase. I have a couple of minor suggestions to improve code clarity and remove redundancy.

The check for opt is redundant here since opt is initialized to an empty table on line 42 if it's nil. Therefore, opt will always be a table at this point and the check is unnecessary.

    if program and opt.version then
        version = find_programver(program, opt)
    end
