Code Review
This pull request correctly fixes an issue where the wrong platform toolchains could be used for a host package. The change ensures that platform.load is called with the correct host flag, which is a good fix. I've also suggested a small refactoring to improve readability. The other change is a minor whitespace removal which is fine.

While the logic is correct, this expression can be made more readable by introducing an intermediate variable for the loaded platform. This avoids a long chained call within the or expression and improves maintainability.
