Summary of Changes

Hello @waruqi, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request resolves an issue in the qt.qmltyperegistrar rule where the targetdir was not being consistently or correctly referenced. The changes ensure that QML type files are installed and generated into the appropriate output directory, preventing potential build or deployment problems related to incorrect file paths.

Highlights

  • QML Rule targetdir Fix: Corrected the targetdir variable usage within the qt.qmltyperegistrar rule to ensure proper path resolution for QML type files.
  • Consistent targetdir Access: Replaced direct calls to target:get("targetdir") with a locally defined targetdir variable for consistency and correctness in file operations.

Code Review

This pull request addresses an issue in the qt.qmltyperegistrar rule by correcting how the target directory path is constructed. The changes replace the use of the low-level target:get("targetdir") with the more robust public API target:targetdir(). Additionally, path construction is improved to be platform-independent by using path.join. These are good changes that enhance the rule's correctness and reliability.

high

Using target:get("targetdir") can be problematic as it's a low-level API that might not return the final, fully-processed target directory path. Furthermore, constructing paths by concatenating strings with / is not platform-independent. For improved correctness and cross-platform compatibility, it is better to use the target:targetdir() API to retrieve the directory and path.join() for path construction.
