Expected behavior
All media items, including videos, should be playable on private sites (Simple and Atomic).
NOTE: The default behavior for uploaded videos is to have the same privacy setting as the site. Hence, videos uploaded to private sites will be private. In public sites, marking a video as private produce the same issue.
Actual behavior
Videos can't be played on private sites (Simple and Atomic).
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Go to a simple site in WPCOM.
- Go to the Site Settings screen.
- Change Privacy to Private.
- Go to the Media library screen.
- Upload a video from the local device or record a video.
- Once the video upload finishes, tap on the Video item.
- Tap on the Video to play it.
- Observe that the video can be played.
NOTE: Seems that works in this case because it's pointing to the local file.
- Close and open again the app.
- Go to the Media library screen.
- Tap on the recently added Video.
- Tap on the Video to play it.
- Observe that the video doesn't load and can't be played.
