I'm thrilled to announce the v2.1.0 release of vmware/packer-plugin-vmware!

✨ Enhancements

This release introduces improved support for bridged networking in VMware Fusion and VMware Workstation machine image builds.

Example:

With this configuration, the plugin will now:

1. Detect the host's IP address via the default route of the bridged interface. This IP address is then used for the Packer initiated HTTP server that serves kickstart/preseed files during automated OS installations.
2. Discover the guest operating system's IP address through VMware Tools / open-vm-tools.
