vitest with browser setup no longer working when bumping from 3.1.1 to 3.1.3 #7944

Hey folks, I got into vitest recently and had a pleasure to migrate one of our open source repoes to vitest + Storybook with vitest addon and have to say that is an amazing experience. Just for the sake of completeness I am linking the original PR here: microsoft/nova-facade#156. However, in microsoft/nova-facade#159 I am trying to bump from 3.1.1 to 3.1.3 (had same issue on 3.1.2) and suddenly I started experiencing weird issue. On some CI runs the tests in packages/examples just hang forever, on some they fail with random errors like (pasting last part of the logs)
You are using Testing Library's `screen` object. Use `within(canvasElement)` instead.

We have vitest in other package in the monorepo and there the tests still succeed. The examples package is pretty special because it contains 3 different configs, depending on setup we want to have for tests. Maybe we are doing something we shouldn't there but (if so please let me know) but I wonder why it just started failing now.
