Steps to reproduce

I don't know how to reproduce, but I have a rr recording that exhibits the issue.

Will debug it myself (since apparently rr record on my machine doesn't work on developers).

Previous issue was #15351

Latest master (a14c457). With --enable-python3interp=dynamic

Environment

Arch Linux.
