Spotipy is currently an outdated API. The author hasn't updated it in 2 years and there are some bugs that affect this project when it comes to downloading it from PyPi: current_user_playing_track is not in the 2.0.1 version, which is the one uploaded on there. I tried directly downloading the git repo in setup.py but dependency_links seems to be obsolete.
