🎯 What: The code health issue addressed was the deeply nested match block logic in handle_json_rpc_message found in crates/poke-around/src/mcp.rs. The logic to handle multiple MCP methods (initialize, tools/list, tools/call) was previously implemented entirely inline, making the function overly complex.

💡 Why: Extracting the logic into dedicated helper functions (handle_initialize, handle_tools_list, handle_tools_call_request) reduces cognitive load and improves testability by isolating responsibilities. The main match block is now clean and easily legible.

Verification: I ran cargo check and cargo test for the workspace. All modules compiled successfully and all test cases passed, ensuring that no prior logic or functionality was broken by the extraction. Code review also verified correctness and safety.

Result: Improved maintainability and reduced complexity for handle_json_rpc_message in the MCP server logic.

Extracted deep nesting in the `handle_json_rpc_message` method by pulling out the logic for `initialize`, `tools/list`, and `tools/call` into dedicated helper functions: `handle_initialize`, `handle_tools_list`, and `handle_tools_call_request`. This change preserves all previous functionality and greatly reduces cognitive load.

Extracted deep nesting in the `handle_json_rpc_message` method by pulling out the logic for `initialize`, `tools/list`, and `tools/call` into dedicated helper functions: `handle_initialize`, `handle_tools_list`, and `handle_tools_call_request`.

Ran `cargo fmt` to resolve formatting violations that caused CI failures.
