Native PDF/A-2b export is available in version 0.12-rc1. However, as noted by some of the comments in this topic, several institutions require PDF/A-1b files for archiving. This is the case, for example, at the Paris-Saclay University or MIT for theses. So I think this is an important feature for Typst.
