As explained on IRC, starting with beta pre5812, I experience a slowdown in history navigation to the point it becomes unusable: after hitting 't' , I use the 'up arrow' to get the previous entry in history, and it takes several second to be displayed while until then, with pre5624 and previous, it was almost instantaneous. Further hits on the 'up arrow' results in an equally lagging display of the previous history entries.

I understand that navigation history has been worked on to be improved in the latest betas, so I guess that it may be a unwanted consequence.
