What about implementing an actual adblocker like Falkon? #179

I would be a very happy Falkon user if they cared a bit more about Windows users. They have released 3.2.0 more than one year ago but even now there is no Windows builds. Windows users still stuck with the old 3.1.0 with the engine of Chromium 69.0.3497.128. It's very unlikely 3.2.0 will ever have a Windows build. It's a good browser but it treated Windows users so badly.

One of the many advantage of Falkon is it has a real adblocker. Domain based block list like Dooble is inadequate to handle modern ads. Most of the ads is dynamic and triggered by JavaScript, the days of static ads that could be efficiently blocked by domains has long gone. You could take the adblocker code from Falkon. If you feared legal issues, just don't include any filter lists by default and let the users add their preferred lists manually. You should add an option to toggle the adblocker on/off on the fly. This is the way how Falkon does this. They are a KDE project so the guys have already counted any legal issues to choose the most optimal solution.

This browser was mentioned on the FreeBSD forums:

https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/lightweight-web-browser-a-la-seamonkey.86064/

The browser could be a real viable alternative to SeaMonkey if it has an adblocker.
