This pull request marks the commencement of a new development phase by incrementing the project's version number to "3.0.5". The primary change involves updating the version definition in the Makefile, which is crucial for maintaining accurate versioning throughout the build and release pipeline.

Highlights

Code Review

This pull request correctly bumps the development version in the Makefile to 3.0.5. My review includes one suggestion to also update the CHANGELOG.md to keep it synchronized with the code version.

NO_DEBUG := $(O2) -ggdb
DEBUG := $(ALL_DEBUG)
CURVER ?= 3.0.4
CURVER ?= 3.0.5

While this version bump in the Makefile is correct, the CHANGELOG.md file has not been updated to reflect the start of the 3.0.5 development cycle. The latest version noted in the changelog is v3.0.2. To maintain consistency and keep project documentation aligned with version changes, please consider adding a new section for v3.0.5 to the changelog in this pull request.
