June 2026 Product Roadmap
This roadmap shows what you can do with SuperDoc today and what we’re actively building next.
Dates reflect current estimates and may shift as we learn from feedback and real-world use.

✔️ Recently Released
Table of Contents expanded interactions
We expanded functionality to support updating Table of Contents via context menu and F9. And built an optional toolbar item to create TOCs from scratch.
Structured Template Field Presets (ETA: by Apr 24)
Insert template fields with predefined content like tables and lists.
We’re making Template Builder more powerful for repeatable workflows by letting teams insert richer prebuilt field structures, not just plain-text placeholders.
LLM Tools - Tables
We rounded out our LLM Tooling and delivered an underlying table operation surface to provide a more reliable agentic experience when building tables.
🛠️ In Progress
Rendering Improvements (ETA: by June 5)
We will deliver deeper support for footnotes and bibliographies, including more reliable handling of generated bibliography content and pagination-sensitive reference output. We’re also extending header/footer fidelity with advanced section variants, section-specific references, and more accurate inherited header/footer behavior across sections.
Element Positioning and Alignment Improvements (ETA: by June 25)
We will deliver normalization to provide a consistent rendering pathway for accurately anchored graphics and alignment, including floating objects in headers and footers, page-relative placement, and more consistent behavior across images, shapes, and text boxes.
Rendering is an on-going track of work and any additional edge cases will continue to be addressed as we move into summer.
Performance Upgrades (Major Version (ETA: June 25)
We will deliver foundational upgrades to document loading and interactions that unlock unmatched performance improvements across the board.
📝 Notes
- Priorities and timing may move sooner or later as we learn from feedback.
- We update this issue as work ships and post short comments for major milestones.
- We love feedback and ideas! For feature requests or support questions, please open a separate issue so we can track them properly and follow up.
