We make |= raise TypeError, since it would be surprising if C.__dict__ |= {'x': 0} silently did nothing, while C.__dict__.update({'x': 0}) is an error.

We make `|=` raise TypeError, since it would be surprising if `C.__dict__ |= {'x': 0}` silently did nothing, while `C.__dict__.update({'x': 0})` is an error.
