Some modern mobile phones (Apple iphone and android) dynamically allocated MAC addresses of internal bluetooth module (a new security feature). This makes impossible to use the such phones for presence detection, because the Bluetooth binding matches bluetooth "things" with bluetooth devices via their MAC addresses.
