⚠️ LEGACY VERSION This is the legacy Gatsby-based version of cros.tech, preserved for historical reference. The current production site has been rebuilt with modern technologies (11ty, LightningCSS, vanilla JavaScript). See the main cros-updates repository for the active version.

This repository hosts the original version of https://cros.tech, a website built to replace the well-known cros-updates-serving appspot app.

This is a Gatsby-based web application to display Chrome OS version data in a user-friendly way. Pages were rendered statically by Netlify upon push to master.

Note: This is the legacy version. For issues with the current site, please use the main cros-updates repository.

If you run into an issue with this legacy version, please open an issue on this repository and provide as much information as you can about the problem.

This codebase was migrated to cros-updates-legacy on October 15, 2025, when the site was rebuilt from scratch using:

• 11ty (Eleventy) for static site generation
• LightningCSS for modern CSS processing with nesting support
• Vanilla JavaScript for improved performance
• Modern build optimizations (minification, debouncing, etc.)

The new version features improved performance, accessibility, and user experience while maintaining all the functionality of the original site.
