fonts: Don't panic when font information contains invalid UTF-8 #40913

freetype gives us *const c_char which is not necessarily UTF-8. In some cases we can simply ignore such fonts instead of panicking. (We can also save on allocation when comparing font formats)

Testing: Covered by existing tests
