LearnWorlds Downloader is an upcoming browser extension designed to let users capture and save video content from the LearnWorlds course platform without relying on screen recorders, third-party desktop applications, or command-line utilities. LearnWorlds is a cloud-based course creation and selling platform known for its interactive video lessons, SCORM compliance, and white-label capabilities. This extension will integrate with the browser playback experience so you can export course videos while watching them in your LearnWorlds school.

LearnWorlds delivers course content through an embedded video player within each school's branded environment. Videos are streamed through adaptive delivery and cannot be saved with a simple right-click. The platform offers no built-in option for students or course creators to download lesson videos as local files for offline viewing, personal archiving, or use on devices without a stable internet connection.

LearnWorlds Downloader is being designed to operate inside the browser alongside the LearnWorlds player. The goal is to detect the active video stream in a course lesson, let you choose the resolution and quality level, and produce a standard MP4 file that you can store on your hard drive, transfer to a tablet, or watch offline whenever you need it.

1. Install the extension once it is released from the Chrome Web Store or your browser's add-on marketplace.
2. Log in to your LearnWorlds school and navigate to an enrolled course.
3. Open the lesson containing the video you want to save.
4. Begin playback so the browser loads the video stream from the platform.
5. Open the extension popup to see the detected video source and available quality levels.
6. Select the lesson video you want to export.
7. Choose your preferred resolution if multiple options are available.
8. Start the download and the MP4 file will be saved to your local machine.

• Input: LearnWorlds embedded video streams (HLS / adaptive bitrate segments served through the course player)
• Output: MP4 video files with audio included

Exported files will be saved as MP4, the most widely supported video container format, playable on desktop media players, smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and video editing software without conversion.

Will it work with any LearnWorlds school? The extension is being built to work with the standard LearnWorlds video player used across all schools on the platform. Custom player integrations or heavily modified themes may require additional testing.

What video quality will it support? Quality will depend on what the LearnWorlds platform delivers to the browser during playback, which can vary based on the original upload resolution and the school's configuration.

Will it capture interactive elements inside LearnWorlds videos? The initial release will focus on the core video and audio stream. Interactive overlays, quizzes embedded within videos, and SCORM-triggered elements are separate platform features and may not be included in the exported file.

Is it free? Pricing details will be announced closer to launch. SERP extensions typically include a free trial period.

Can I download all lessons in a course at once? Batch downloading across multiple lessons is a planned feature, though the exact workflow will depend on browser constraints and how the platform loads video content per lesson page.
