This seems to only be an issue if the project has a previous rsconnect directory.

Steps to Repro:

1. delete rsconnect directory for rmd-site as example
2. delete previous deploys of this content in pcc if any
3. rsconnect::deployApp(appDir=‘/Users/tim/Repos/publisher-examples/vivid-storage/rmd-site’)
4. check logs in pcc when successful (no blank logs found)
5. delete the content again on pcc
6. redeploy again
7. select option 2
8. check logs in pcc again when successful (empty logs readDcf error trying to deploy 01_hello #1) - for me

actual: blank logs #1 on the new published content in pcc
expected: no blank logs.
