Feature description

Following the completion of action server and action client implementations, we should add some integration tests for communication between the two.

Connects to #306.

Implementation considerations

Part of integrations tests have been included as part of the first action server implementation (#323), but there are several tasks that should be completed before full integration tests can be written:
