GovEase is a Chrome extension that helps elderly users navigate and fill out complex government forms with AI-powered summaries, text to speech voice guidance, and smart autofill.

Download the Extension
- Clone or download this repository
- Navigate to the
govEasefolder

Load in Chrome
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions/ - Enable "Developer mode" (toggle in top right)
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the
govEasefolder - The GovEase icon should appear in your Chrome toolbar
- Open Chrome and go to
- Click the GovEase icon in your Chrome toolbar
- Go to the "Autofill" tab
- Fill in your personal information (this stays private on your device)
- Click "Save"
- Visit any government website (e.g., ssa.gov, irs.gov)
- Use the buttons to:

- 🔊 Read form instructions aloud
- ❓ Get help with individual fields
- Local Storage: All personal information is stored on your device only
- No Data Sharing: Information is never sent to external servers
