spike(docs): audit docs/** for references to gutted features #2530

Description

@alexey-pelykh

Summary

Type: SPIKE — documentation audit; rewrites spawn as follow-up items.

docs/**/*.md likely describes user-facing features that no longer exist: skills marketplace, plugin browser, provider picker UX, onboarding flow, session cost dashboards. Stale docs mislead readers (contributors and end users) about what RemoteClaw does and doesn't have.

Scope

Audit docs/**/*.md for references to gutted features:

  • Skills / skills marketplace / skill authoring
  • Plugin system / plugin browser / plugin install
  • Model provider selection / provider catalog / provider pricing
  • Session cost analytics / usage tracking
  • Onboarding flow / tutorial / welcome
  • Any feature listed in CLAUDE.md § Fork Context "What's being removed"

Approach

For each hit, classify:

  • STALE: describes a removed feature — rewrite or delete
  • ACCURATE: describes a pass-through live feature (e.g., Claude extended thinking display, CLI provider selection) — KEEP
  • CROSS-REF: mentions gutted system as context for a current feature — update surrounding context
  • HISTORICAL: intentionally preserved in a changelog or ADR-equivalent — KEEP

Deliverable

Classified inventory. For STALE sections, open a docs(audit): ... follow-up issue or PR batch.

AC

  • Classified inventory (table of file:section-heading + classification)
  • Follow-up PR(s) for STALE sections

Typed exception

SPIKE — AC is the audit outcome.

Context

Post-#2336 UI remnants audit extended to user-facing documentation surface.
