[Google Calendar] Problem with AI Extension and Timezones #17585

@plazari15

Description

@plazari15

Extension

https://www.raycast.com/thomas/google-calendar

Raycast Version

1.93.1

macOS Version

14.7.4

Description

When I ask Google Calendar @google-calendar create focus time for today March 5 at 6:20 PM UTC-3 and the duration should be 2h, the event is created for today at 09:20 PM. This happens because I'm in Brazil, where the timezone is UTC-3.

I believe this occurs because the extension attempts to set the timezone as UTC, which doesn't work well for me and others in different locations. The solution I've found for now is to do the math manually, considering that the extension will always add (+3 hours) to my request.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. In a different timezone than UTC, ask Google Calendar @google-calendar create focus time for today, March 5, at 6:20 PM UTC-3, with a duration of 2h.
  2. The event will be created in a different timezone, considering the UTC time.

Current Behaviour

No response

Expected Behaviour

Consider the user timezone or respect the UTC-3 present in the request.
