Steps to reproduce:
- Open an anime episode that has subtitles available (tested with kisskh extension)
- Enable Autoplay or use the Next Episode button
- Let the player advance to the next episode automatically
- Observe that subtitles do not appear in the player despite being listed in the subtitle menu
Expected behavior:
Subtitles should load and render correctly when advancing to the next episode via
Next/Autoplay, and MPV config/subtitle settings should be re-applied automatically.
Actual behavior:
Subtitles are fetched (visible in the subtitle selection menu) but do not render in
the player. MPV config and subtitle settings also appear to not be re-applied for the
new episode. Closing the player and manually reopening the episode resolves the issue.
Other details:
- Workaround: close the player and reopen the episode manually to get subtitles working
- Possibly affects other extensions beyond kisskh, needs reproduction with a different source
- MPV config / subtitle preferences (font, size, language) may also be silently reset on episode transition
