Hi @dgoeries thanks for this PR. I've been a bit reluctant to incorporate large formatting only changes due to causing merge conflicts with other outstanding PRs. Of the open PRs right now, I'll take a look to see if this PR would cause any head aches if merged right away and if so, I'll set if those PRs can be resolved with quickly. |

Before working on the LegendItem in a feature branch, a little cleanup. It is already very noisy, that why it comes as a separate branch.
