Description

Add node on ip vs fqdn host type for endpoints.

I commonly get this error on my Mac when on certain VPNs:

[Errno 8] nodename nor servname provided, or not known

Using the ip as the address type in host_type generally fixes this. The default of fqdn is better for HPC environments.
