So interested begginers won't think that it is an 'npm like' package manager that has to be installed classically, and won't spend an hour to try to figure out how to install this devtools stuff :)

The idea is fine, I have seen this in a lot of packages.
For instance, in https://roxygen2.r-lib.org/
