[New Rule] Postgres (self-hosted): Reproduce A High-Severity Failure & Write a Detection Rule #44

@Lyndon-prequel

Description

@Lyndon-prequel

Description

Postgres remains the core of many production stacks — and failures in HA setups like Patroni or Zalando's Postgres Operator can be subtle but devastating.

Your goal: reproduce a high-severity failure (e.g., failover misfire, replication lag, disk saturation) in a recent version and write a detection rule for it.

You must:

  1. Reproduce the failure scenario.
  2. Share a minimal, working reproduction (e.g., Helm, Docker Compose, etc.).
  3. Write a CRE-format detection rule for preq.

📦 Deliverables:

  • Reproduction setup and clear README.
  • Example logs in test.log.
  • Link to your rule in the CRE playground.
