What problem are you trying to solve?

It would be nice if the zone could be saved without making any changes, so that an increase-serial could be triggered.
Or is there any way to re-enable this feature?

currently it is blocked with:
Warning: Zone did not have any record changes.

What would you like implemented?

allow save zones without making any changes
