Alpine: Docker image broken, FrankenPHP Freezing&Crashing #1722

What happened?

TL;DR When running FrankenPHP usign official docker container image, FrankenPHP will stall, crash, and get stuck.

First issues I encountered, were when I tried to deserialize big Enums. These Enums have about 1k different options. The serializer would get stuck on here:

Basically staying stuck on is_subclass_of($className, \UnitEnum::class). I started to debug this and had same results with following code:

Type::enum(CountryAlpha2::class)

enum_exists($className)

$ref = new \ReflectionClass($className);
$ref->isEnum();

This was really weird and something internal with the FrankenPHP. There is no really a rule. Sometimes when doing two curl calls at same time, first will get stuck and second will crash the FrankenPHP, sometimes it just gets stuck for ever. Sometimes even on this reproduce repo I cannot get the server to response any queries at all. (e.g. https://localhost/api/docs)

I was able reproduce this and source for it is available here.

I converted my development env from alpine to use dunglas/frankenphp:1-php8.4 and I am no longer able to reproduce this issue. So basically the alpine build is somehow broken.
