Derive a 1D LUT from the difference between graded film scan frames.
Introduction
An experiment in generating an applicable 1-Dimensional colour LUT from two aligned source images, using common Python image processing libraries.
This was motivated by cases in which historical film grading data was not retained or lost, but it is still desirable to recreate the colour transformation, either to apply to other corresponding film sections, or in the application of the same grade to a different output file.
