#3200 added support in sled-agent to configure the VMM reservoir for guest memory. Currently, the reservoir is not used by default (#3223).
In order for the default use of the reservoir to be safe, the instance creation path must consider the last set reservoir size set by sled-agent when picking a sled. There is currently a TODO to handle this.
