Will it be possible to install agent apps on GHEC with data residency (which for whatever reason still does not support the marketplace) |

Hi GitHub Partner Team, I’m the developer of Hawkeye, an on-premises codebase search and project intelligence tool used by development teams to instantly find references across code, assets, localization, scripts, blueprints, and other project content. 80% save on token on the way I have been using it. We recently built Hawkeye AI Bridge, a local MCP server that allows AI coding agents to query Hawkeye’s indexed project context without uploading the full codebase to an external service. With GitHub’s new Agent Apps direction, I believe Hawkeye could be a strong fit as a GitHub-integrated context agent for Copilot and partner agents, especially for teams with large proprietary repositories, game projects, legacy systems, or strict on-prem/security requirements. I would be very interested in joining the agent app partner waitlist or discussing whether Hawkeye AI Bridge could become a GitHub Marketplace agent app. Best regards, |

Agent apps are AI agents from GitHub partners, installable from the GitHub Marketplace, and integrated directly into GitHub.
You install an agent app just like any other GitHub App from the Marketplace. Once it's installed and enabled by an administrator, the agent becomes available inside your GitHub workflows, with three entry points:
The first wave of agent apps is available today from:
Over the coming months, we'll open up access to allow anyone to build agent apps, whether you're a developer tools provider or just building an internal tool for your team.
If you're a partner interested in building your own agent app, you can join the waitlist to get access.
To learn more, see "About agent apps" in the GitHub Docs.
