Please describe the end goal of this project

Star-Tree index feature has moved out of experimental phase in OpenSearch 3.1, we need a comprehensive set of statistics and telemetry to measure its adoption in overall search, performance, resource consumption, and overall cluster impact. This meta issue will track the necessary issues to implement observability for the Star-Tree feature.

Indexing:

• Storage for star-tree index structures as part of overall storage
