This is to start the process of gathering a consensus and approval from the community on a new license header for all newly created source files for the OpenSearch code-base going forward.
The posed preference: just like it's predecessor the proposed header follows the Apache Software Foundation license header and Copyright Notice by substituting OpenSearch for the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) and The ASF, respectively.
The proposed license header is as follows:
