Bug Report: WebChat "In Progress" indicator persists after reply is complete

Description

After the agent finishes replying in WebChat, the bottom-right "In progress" indicator continues spinning indefinitely. The reply has already been fully delivered and visible, but the progress state does not clear.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open WebChat dashboard
  2. Send any message to the agent
  3. Wait for the agent's reply to appear (fully typed out)
  4. Observe the bottom-right corner — the "In progress / Stop" indicator remains active

Expected Behavior

The "In progress" indicator should disappear once the agent's reply is fully delivered and no tool calls remain active.

Actual Behavior

The indicator stays spinning, suggesting there is still an active run. Clicking the "Stop" button clears it without affecting the already-delivered reply.

Notes

  • The issue appeared immediately after updating from 2026.5.18 to 2026.5.27
  • Was not present in 2026.5.18
  • Possibly related to the reply delivery changes in 5.27 (e.g., "visible replies no longer inherit hidden cleanup timeouts" or webchat live message event changes)
  • This is a UI-only issue — no actual runaway processes or token waste
