Bug Summary
The Dreaming page in the Control UI has a significant layout/rendering regression on version 2026.4.9. Both the SCENE and DIARY tabs display overlapping, cramped, and misaligned content.
Screenshots
Environment
- OpenClaw version: 2026.4.9 (build 0512059)
- Browser: Chrome (Control UI web view)
- OS: macOS (host running gateway)
Observed Behavior
DIARY tab
- Dream entries are rendered in extremely narrow vertical columns.
- Text overlaps and rotates unexpectedly (e.g. "LIGHT SLEEP COMPLETE. AWAITING DEEP PHASE." appears sideways).
- The card-based layout squishes content into overlapping pill-shaped containers.
- Longer paragraphs overflow their containers and become unreadable.
SCENE tab
- Memory signals/cards are laid out in a broken grid with overlapping edges.
- Content from different memory sources bleeds into adjacent cards.
- Spacing between cards is inconsistent -- some are touching, others have large gaps.
Expected Behavior
- Dream diary entries should render as readable, full-width paragraphs.
- Scene cards should have consistent padding and not overlap.
- Text should remain horizontal and readable.
Steps to Reproduce
- Start OpenClaw gateway on 2026.4.9.
- Open the Control UI.
- Navigate to Dreaming.
- Click between SCENE and DIARY tabs.
- Observe layout corruption.
Additional Context
- Screenshots available upon request (can be attached to this issue).
- This issue was noticed immediately after the 2026.4.9 auto-update.
- The underlying Markdown files and DREAMS.md content are intact -- this is purely a frontend/Control UI rendering issue.
