for large uploads, i have no idea if the network connection is hanging or if my upload is working, until it completes. that might be in an hour! it should show some kind of animating indicator that lets the user know something is actually happening. it would be nice if you can show the percentage of bytes uploaded so far / bytes total in the upload.

to make sure my large upload was working, i simply uploaded a small file first to confirm. i wouldn't have been confused or wondering or needing to do that with a nice file upload animation. it totally makes sense for large files and lots of other projects have similar features in the software world, so it would be nothing out of the ordinary and simply a really nice feature.
