What issue are you seeing?
I’m a ChatGPT Plus subscriber.
Codex was working normally in the VS Code extension late last night.
I did not change any local configuration, plugins, or network settings.
After waking up, Codex via official ChatGPT login consistently fails
with the error: “stream disconnected before completion”.
On the same machine and same plugin version:
- Codex works via a custom provider
- Codex works on the web
- Codex does NOT work via official ChatGPT login in the VS Code extension
This appears to be an overnight regression without any client-side changes.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open VS Code
- Sign in to Codex using official ChatGPT login (Plus account)
- Open any project
- Send any prompt (even a simple “hi”)
- Codex fails with “stream disconnected before completion”
No local changes were made between the last successful usage and the failure.
