Compressed nzb support has an unintended side-effect on update? #730

Description

@joeblowma

Is there already an issue for your problem?

  • I have checked older issues, open and closed

NZBGet Version

v26.0-stable

Platform

Windows

Environment

OS version: windows 23H2 (22631.6199) 64bit
CPU: 64bit
Tools: none?
Docker: No

Current Behavior

When I did the update via web browser interface today to 26.0 on reloading it immediately started scanning the NzbDir (watch folder) for archives, extracting them and then deleting the archives. It did not seem to use my intermediate or extract directories, it did it in place.

Expected Behavior

I have this set to my web browser downloads directory, there is a lot of random stuff in there like source files, drivers, programs that are in zip/7z/rar that really shouldn't have been extracted (while deleting the original!!) It made a huge mess for me, and I can currently find no way to turn it off so I don't have to micromanage web downloaded nzb files.

A way to disable this or at least, or maybe, some kind of warning would have been nice.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. might be an issue on any arch
  2. set your NzbDir to a folder with archives in it
  3. start nzbget 26.0 and watch the fun in the log as it rips through the archives "extract here"ing them (at least the ones it can)
