Possibly not so important for the average user of the stable version, as it will only occur around four times a year, but for those running on snapshots it can be disruptive when typing something, or doing a complex operation, to suddenly get the nvda update window appear over the screen and lose where you were.
Suggestions.
Update can be set to only look at the next nvda start up and not at intervals during a session. This at least will mean it only appears at the start. Second, allow polling but modify the system tray message to New nvda update ready, click for details or whatever.
or use a special sound to indicate it, in case the version of windows hides the nvda icon etc, though I've never come across this. I hope this is not a duplicate, though I did notice a ticket about postponing an install after a download, which is also a good idea.
