The summary describes most of it.
While using a softer speech synthesizer, or a softer ESpeak variant (Microsoft Anna is a soft synth and Steph is a soft variant), the NVDA sounds sound too loud, especially if one has plugged in headphones.
Therefore, please do one of the following:
1 add a slider somewhere that allows the user to change volume of NVDA sounds
2 for a more advanced implementation, create an Audio Manager dialog box through which the user can change the volume of each and every sound individually, this would also remove the need of check boxes in different NVDA Settings dialog box asking whether a particular sound should be played or not, because we could turn the slider to 0 in our Audio Manager to perform the same function.
Hope I made sense.
