This isn't actually released yet, but I'm filing this now because there are some build changes we need to be aware of (which i discovered while testing something against master):

1. There is a new file, logging.c, which we need to include in our build.
2. The format of the call to AC_INIT has changed, so the regexp needs to be updated so the correct version number can be pulled.
