huge numbers of exceptions in eclipse #3938

The specific problem is the exceptions this time. They become so numerous that it it literally becomes impossible to hear the speech. There seems to be some oddities with focus when it happens, but I have to get past the error sounds first. This happens only when tabbing between controls or at other times when the focus changes; it will rarely happen several times in a row, cutting off the previous error sound to do so.
This specific log is me installing Pydev. It is particularly bad in the new folder dialog, the new software dialog, and a few other places. It seems to cause some sluggishness, but this may be Eclipse itself. I've put one instance of the exception below; it repeats over and over.
