I was working on a friend's computer and had to edit some Email account
settings in Microsoft Outlook 2007. When I tabbed to the password
field, I found that NVDA read the contents of the field and spoke
individual characters as I cursored in the edit field. NVDA identified
the field as a protected edit field, and I verified with the person who
owned the computer that the password is not being displayed on-screen.
