Steps to reproduce:

There may not be exact steps to reproduce at this time.
Switching between windows that contain editable controls, such as Notepad++ or Notepad, can easily trigger freezing.
Restarting NVDA by pressing Ctrl+Alt+N is also very slow in these applications, taking 5 to 10 seconds.

Actual behavior:

NVDA freezes and becomes unresponsive for a long time.

Expected behavior:

NVDA should not freeze like it did in 2023.1.
