AFAICT there is no separate option for disabling auto-completion of numbers.

It would be really nice to have this, because auto-complete is useful in general but kind of has to be turned off because its insistence on auto-completing numbers is both highly irritating and never useful (which makes it a great case for being optional or just removed entirely).
