I'm trying to use PivotMDS in 3D with the Python API (with some difficulty, see #497)

But, the results seem way off: all of the points appear to lie in a plane and many are coincident (indeed, many are at the origin).

I tried with various values for numberOfPivots. My graph is directed with 3648 nodes and 71160 edges (edges not shown in image).
